COMMUNITY SERVICE TSINAT FLAME AWARD NOMINATION 

Tsinat Flame Award is a formal recognition effort designed to honor members of our community individuals who have made outstanding contributions and shown exemplary leadership for families of children with special needs. To recognize the efforts of people with disabilities and those who support them, each year, we celebrate to pay tribute to this deserving group by presenting the Disability Awareness and Recognition Awards (Tsinat Flame Award). Therefore, the public is encouraged to nominate people they know or people and organizations that have positively impacted the lives of those with disabilities in the Ethiopian and Eritrean communities.

The nomination must demonstrate the nominees' ongoing service in the Ethiopian and Eritrean community, incorporating the below characteristics. In addition, please describe how the nominee has met each of the below features. Nomination will be open until August 20, 2022.

የጽናት ፍሌም አዋርድ በኢትዮጵያውያን ማህበረሰብ ውስጥ የተለያየ የአካል እክል ያለባቸውን ሰዎችን ሕይወት ለማሻሻል ከፍተኛ አስተዋጽኦ ያደረጉ ወገኖችን እየመረጥን በዓመት አንድ ጊዜ እውቅና እንሰጣለን፡፡ በዚህ ፕሮግራም ሕብረተሰቡን በመሰብሰብ አንድ ኮንፍረንስ እናዘጋጃለን፡፡

ከዚህ በታች ባለው ስፍራ ለጥያቄዎቹ ያሎትን መልስ በእንግሊዘኛ ወይንም በአማርኛ መጻፍ ይችላሉ

A. Leadership: An individual who makes significant contributions to building a sense of unity and purpose in families of special needs in the Ethiopian community. The nominee should have a demonstrated ability to build stronger communities by promoting personal growth and development.

B. Social Responsibility: An individual who assists others in improving Ethiopian disable communities through volunteer programs, social groups, outreach centers, sports programs or after school groups.

C. Mentorship: An individual who demonstrates positive values and behaviors that influence others in Ethiopian disabled community. The nominee should have examples of instances during which they have mentored community members in a positive way.

D. Change Agent: An individual who influences or stimulates disabled individuals in Ethiopian community to effect positive changes through personal development or self-improvement. The nominee should have demonstrated their role as a change agent.

3. Reward Type
Individual winner will receive a cash donation to a 501(c)3 charity of their choice. A winner will also be invited to October 8, 2022 Tsinat Institute annual banquet for public recognition.

We recognize that disability reflects diverse characteristics and experiences, and community integration is a crucial component to achieve our goal. To recognize the efforts of people with disabilities and those who support them, each year we celebrate to pay tribute to this deserving group by presenting the Disability Awareness and Recognition Awards (Tsinat Flame Award).

The public is encouraged to nominate people whom they know, or people and organizations that have had a positive impact on the lives of those with disabling in the Ethiopian community. Taking a few minutes to share their story with us could propel them to become the 2020 Tsinat Institute Hero.
